In April 2005 Philip took part in the ENO production of Twilight of the Gods. He has now moved to Canterbury, where he is concentrating on the oratorio and song repertoire, and voice teaching. |

2003 - 2004: |
Apart from a short contract with ENO, singing in the chorus for two concert performances of Twilight of the Gods, Philip spent 2003/4 away from the operatic stage, concentrating instead on the song repertoire. |

In July Philip sang the role of 2nd Priest in the Longborough Festival Opera production of The Magic Flute. In September/October, he worked in the chorus for the Raymond Gubbay Productions' Cav & Pag at he Royal Albert Hall, having also taken part in their Carmen in February/March. |

2000 - 2001:

Philip worked in the chorus for Aida - Raymond Gubbay Productions at the Royal Albert Hall, in the Salzburg Osterfestspiele production of Falstaff, and in Simon Boccanegra for the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara. In 2000 he worked for Scottish Opera in Parsifal and Macbeth, as well as covering Second Jew in their production of Salome. He also took part in Simon Boccanegra with the Berlin Philharmonic in the Salzburg Osterfestspiele and in Tristan und Isolde with the same forces in Tokyo. |

Philip sang in the Scottish Opera Macbeth and in L'Italiana in Algeri for Garsington Opera. In the spring he spent two months at L'Opéra National de Lyon, singing in Falstaff and Il cappello di paglia di Firenze; prior to that he took part in the ENO Parsifal. |

In this period, Philip sang in the Scottish Opera production of Smetana's Dalibor, after taking part in his first Garsington Opera season. Prior to that he worked on the WNO Billy Budd and the ENO Flying Dutchman. |

Philip sang in five operas at La Scala, Milan from September 1996 to May 1997, during which time he was one of the small group of soloists chosen from the chorus for the La Scala Easter Concerts. |

1991 - 1996: |
Philip was a member of the chorus of Glyndebourne Festival Opera for 6 seasons, and of Glyndebourne Touring Opera for 3. He also took part in the Classical Productions' arena Carmen, in Birmingham and Dortmund (1992) and Zürich and Munich (1993/94). He was in the chorus of L'Opéra de Lyon for two world premières: Debussy's Rodrigue et Chimène (1993), and Marcel Landowski's Galina (1996), and of La Scala for Die Zauberflöte - the opening production of the 1995/96 season. |
