I have been singing professionally in musical theatre and on the concert platform for more than 25 years and recently decided that my voice would benefit from a professional overhaul.  I was fortunate that I wasn't experiencing any vocal problems per se, but aware that I had inevitably developed bad habits, and keen to explore increasing my vocal range. Philip quickly identified those bad habits, whilst encouraging and supporting my desire to feel more confident at the top end of my range. It matters not that Philip is from a classical background unlike myself - technique is technique, and given the rather extreme stresses musical theatre can often put on one's voice, the work Philip and I have achieved together continues to pay dividends.  I can't tell you the number of times people have kindly commented on my 'new voice', and I never sing a note without my 20 minute 'vocal warm up with Philip'.

Lessons with Philip are always encouraging and increase confidence.  He explains very clearly, with appropriate exercises but without complicated jargon, how the vocal apparatus works, how to avoid bad habits and makes it all very natural and enjoyable.
